In between races, we took some time to browse our hard drives and look at photos taken throughout the year. We'll highlight each shot in a daily post, with the image sized to fit your computer screen or smartphone and described with a small backstory…
With all this crazy hurricane activity lately, my thoughts have been on those affected by it or in the storms’ projected paths. It also reminded me of how fast the weather can change and turn things upside down. This particular “Photo of the Day” comes from a while back at our feature shoot with Malcolm Stewart as he pounded laps in what became easily the windiest day I’ve ever shot in. Just check out the trees in the background, and imagine riding over a Supercross triple in these conditions. Malcolm and I got the job done though, and on the way to the airport I heard multiple hurricane storm warnings on the radio. Best wishes to anyone down in Florida, and remember to be safe and evacuate if advised.
