In between races, we took some time to browse our hard drives and look at photos taken throughout the year. We’ll highlight each shot in a daily post, with the image sized to fit your computer screen or smartphone and described with a small backstory…
It’s crazy that if you live in Southern California you’re able to get so much more of an in-depth look at the life a professional racer lives on any given day. Take this Tuesday for example, where Pala Raceway was basically a professional practice haven for numerous top guys just out for a day of work. GEICO Honda’s Jeremy Martin was one of them, and he along with a few other racers were just hammering late-day motos on the brutal broken in circuit. These long motos are the work hardly anyone sees (unless you’re in California) and trust us – those moto wins don’t come easy! When Jeremy Martin came through this corner leaned over and on the rev-limiter it was just part of his work day for him, but to us it made for a perfect “Photo of the Day” to start the month of June.
