In between races, we took some time to browse our hard drives and look at photos taken throughout the year. We’ll highlight each shot in a daily post, with the image sized to fit your computer screen or smartphone and described with a small backstory…
If you’ve picked up our latest issue of TransWorld Motocross, then you’ve seen our cover feature on 2017 standout Jordon Smith shot at Zaca Station MX. The shoot was a bit of an end of the day/chase the sunset scramble and Jordon was epic to work with – he had even spent the entire day testing with KTM and to say he was tired would be an understatement! This shot was meant for the feature, and after our art director Shane Kinman saw it he loved the idea of bringing it to life for the cover. I personally love black and white photos in the right scenario, and to see our magazine this month with this image as the cover put a huge smile on my face – Zaca Station rules for photos! Here’s the full frame for “Photo of the Day” presented by O’Neal. Pick up a copy and learn more about Jordon and his rise through the ranks, then congratulate him on his first cover!
