Another rider has confirmed their participation in the 2017 TransWorld Motocross SLAM Pro Race. Tallon LaFountaine will line up against the field of competitors on a Husqvarna FC 450 in hopes of claiming top honors. The California local lined up for all rounds of the 2017 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship and finished twenty-third overall in the 450 class standings.
There are a few key changes to this year's running of the exciting pro race, with the most important being the doubling of the purse to $10,000! In addition to this, racers will compete on Milestone’s main MX track (not Supercross) in two five-lap sprint motos. A special, pro-only section will be incorporated for the SLAM Pro race. The race is open to all professional racers who would like to enter. A timed practice session at the start of the event will serve as a qualifier for the top-10 fastest riders, who will fill the starting gate in the two championship motos. A traditional scoring system will be used to determine overall finishing positions after the two motos. First place will take home $5000 and the highly coveted TransWorld SLAM Champion Belt. Second place will earn $3000, and the third and final podium position will go home with an impressive $2000.
