The grand finale of the entire X Games venue went down this afternoon inside US Bank Stadium with Moto X QuarterPipe High Air. This event is all-new to X Games, and the fans came out to see the riders send it into the rafters. Heavy favorites going in were the trio of Jarryd McNeil, Tyler Bereman, and Colby Raha who all sent it high during practice. Unfortunately the reality of how gnarly these contest are struck early when McNeil went down hard on his first attempt, injuring his leg in the process and taking him out of contention. That left Raha and Bereman to dual it out to the last jump, with Raha besting Bereman’s final jump by 14 inches in his first-ever X Games. Brian McCarty found his way to a bronze medal behind them with a 234 inch (19.5 ft) launch. Wild times; check out the full results below.
