Good news after a few tense moments at the 2017 Washougal MX, the ninth round of the 2017 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship. In the early moments of the final 450 A Group Timed Qualifying session, AutoTrader.com/Monster Energy/Toyota/JGRMX/Suzuki rider Justin Barcia suffered a hard crash after the finish line and was clearly injured on the track. Because Barcia was motionless on the track, the officials threw the red flag and the Alpinestars Mobile Medical Unit staff rushed to his side. Due to reported claims of neck pain, he was taken off of the track strapped to a backboard and was transferred to a nearby hospital for further evaluation.

Hours later in the day, NBC Sports pit reporter Georgia Albertson shared an update from the team that said Barcia had been released from the hospital with no injuries. Barcia also posted an update on his social media accounts Saturday evening that further confirmed his health.
