2017 UNADILLA MX | COMPLETE COVERAGE

Monster Energy/Yamalube/Chaparral/Yamaha Financial Services/Yamaha has confirmed Cooper Webb will return to action this weekend at the 2017 Unadilla MX, the tenth round of the 2017 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship. Webb was forced to sit out the 2017 Washougal MX due to a torn meniscus he suffered during the 2017 Spring Creek MX. By missing one round and then taking advantage of a break in the schedule, Webb's knee has improved enough to complete the summer series.

After winning a pair of 250 class titles in 2016 (250 West Coast SX and 250 MX National), Webb jumped to the 450 ranks with Yamaha's factory effort in 2017. The North Carolina native has experienced a mix of success such as a podium finish at the 2017 Oakland SX and top-ten motos finishes through the summer, but also setbacks including a shoulder injury that sidelined him for five rounds of the Supercross season. Webb is currently ranked tenth in the 450 class championship standings of the 2017 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship.

It's worth noting that Webb has spent time testing the all-new 2018 Yamaha YZ450F, but is still racing aboard the 2017 model. Yamaha has raced the new bike in the MXGP series, yet the brand has not announced plans to race it in the US before the end of the summer.

Round 10 of the 2017 AMA Pro Motocross Championship, the Unadilla National, is on Saturday in New Berlin, NY, and with Cooper Webb having missed Round 9 at Washougal due to the knee injury he suffered during Round 8 at Spring Creek, the Monster Energy/Yamalube/Chaparral/Yamaha Financial Services/Yamaha Factory Racing Team rider is rehabbed and ready to race his #2 Yamaha YZ450F at central New York State's famed Unadilla MX track.

"My knee is getting a lot better, so I decided to race Unadilla this weekend," Cooper said. "I have a lot of friends and fans in the Northeast, and I'm looking forward to seeing everybody. Last year was a double-moto sweep for me at Unadilla, so I'm excited to get back there and try to do it again!"
