I wear knee braces, and within a month or two the Velcro patches that hold the padding onto the knee braces fall off. I end up duct-taping the pads to the braces, which seems like a low-rent solution. How should I do it?
This is a common problem. MXA cleans the glue from where the Velcro (hook-and-loop) pad was pulled off (the errant pad is normally stuck to the hook side of the Velcro combo). We then use grip glue, Gorilla glue or contact cement to glue the loop pad back on the brace. We hold the pad to the brace with a spring-loaded clamp until the glue dries. The high-rent solution is to order brand-new stick-on Velcro pads from your knee brace manufacturer.
