2018 AJP Model Line Up Is Budget Friendly And Ready To Rally

We don’t particularly like to use the word cheap because some could view it as “low quality” but we are using the word cheap to indicate that the price tags on AJP’s motorcycles are way less than any other OEMs. This Portuguese company makes four different models with a couple versions of each and what makes AJPs stand out is that they have lower seat heights than your typical dirt bike. Most off-road and moto bikes for adults come in around the 37 to 38 inch seat height range, yet the smallest AJP, the PR3 Enduro 240, has a 34.3 inch seat height with a included lowering link to get it another inch lower to 33.3 inches. They also have full size models for the non-vertically challenged.

The big news for this year is the introduction of the PR7 Rally 600. While it would be totally awesome if it were street legal, this ’18 version is off-road only. AJP does plan to have a street-legal version of the PR7 for 2019 so we’ll just have to wait. The standout features include a 600cc liquid-cooled, DOHC engine, a 4.5 under-seat tank, Sachs suspension front and rear, and a windscreen covered rally tower with dual stacked headlights and a ASUS tablet computer.

We have yet to get our hands on any of the AJP models but we are currently working on getting some bikes under our butts. The following information is from AJP on all its 2018 models.

2018 PR7 Rally 600 – MSRP $9,995

Dreaming of racing Baja? Dream no more! The off-road race-only edition of the PR7 is coming to the USA. Not for the faint of heart and definitely not street legal – this bike is packed with features and ready to blast across the desert at over 100mph!

The PR7 is designed to be the ultimate open-class rally racer. Starting with a new generation frame we added the very best in off-road suspension from Sachs front & rear. Next came billet triple clamps, billet footpegs, and billet bar mounts.

To keep the stand-over height narrow and low – we placed the fuel tank in our usual place – down low, under the seat. The rally-style tower incorporates a very effective windscreen, dual stacked headlamps, and removable ASUS tablet computer. Load the Android tablet with whatever you like – navigation, apps, web-based programs – it can handle it all, at speed - thru any weather condition.

The power-plant in the PR7 is composed of a 60hp 600cc fuel-injected 6-speed motor, DOMA full race exhaust, carbon fiber air intake, plus race-spec ECU.
