Donovan Wey is the youngest of three children in the Wey family, and at five-years-old, he has a love for motocross that is apparent in his infectious ear-to-ear grin. With former Supercross and National MX Pro Nick Wey as his dad, Donovan obviously has some serious resources in his corner when it comes to advice and insight at his disposal, but at this stage in the game, his racing is all about having fun with his older brother, Vincent, and sister Eva. We caught up with Donovan at round three of the Fall Classic Series, presented by SPY.

Racing is a family affair for you, is it cool having a famous dad?

How long have you been racing, and what led you to choose motocross?
I started racing when I was four. So, for a few months now. I race because my dad and older brother do and it is fun.

Do you participate in any other sports or have any hobbies?
Soccer. I also play soccer.

How seriously do you take racing? Is it just for fun or do you have bigger aspirations?
I race because I wanna win.

Who is the biggest influence in your racing?
[Ken] Roczen!
