After a preseason crash left Jon Ames with a badly broken arm, the Rockwell Racing Yamaha team fielded only Mitchell Harrison at the opening two rounds of the 250 West Coast portion of the 2019 Monster Energy Supercross Series (bike issues have kept Harrison from showing his true speed, as a mechanical on the sighting lap at Glendale forced him to miss the 250 Main Event) and kept an open motorcycle in the their pit area.

On Wednesday it was announced that Scott Champion will finish out the rest of the 2019 Monster Energy Supercross Series 250 West Coast season for the Rockwell Racing Yamaha team, with the 2019 Anaheim Two Supercross to be his first race as a fill-in rider.

Champion is included on the pre-entry list for the weekend’s race and will be number 184. It will be his first Supercross race of the season.
