In between races, we took some time to browse our hard drives and look at photos taken throughout the year. We'll highlight each shot in a daily post, with the image sized to fit your computer screen or smartphone and described with a small backstory…
I've always been a fan of Unadilla since I was a young kid growing up, and one of the consistent things about it is the fact that it's always rough and gnarly. The toughest and best always rise to the top, and year after year the circuit seems to grow even tougher. This particular shot was taken back in 2014, and Eli Tomac (who's currently steering this championship via a healthy points lead) stands out focused forward after navigating a track-wide section of ruts in this straightaway. Can the number three take down the technical frenchman Marvin Musquin at round ten? We'll be watching the battle unfold tomorrow!
