A few days ago we heard a rumor that Mitchell Oldenburg’s plans for 2018 had greatly changed. The talk through the summer months was that Oldenburg was set to join the Rockstar Energy Racing Husqvarna team as a 250 rider, a rumor we heard prior to Hangtown. But an agreement was not reached in the contract negotiations and when the conversation reached a stalemate, a new deal with Yamalube/Star Racing/Yamaha was inked. We talked with Oldenburg briefly at the 2017 Monster Energy Cup and he told us that it is a two-year deal that will keep him in the 250 class. Check the site later in the week for a complete interview with Oldenburg and more information.
