Foothill Ranch, Calif. (May 7, 2018) - The final round of the 2018 Monster Energy® AMA Supercross, an FIM World Championship was held on Saturday night under the lights of Sam Boyd Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada. Monster Energy® Kawasaki rider Eli Tomac rode to a dominating wire-to-wire victory to take his eighth win of the season. Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki's Adam Cianciarulo captured his first victory of the season in the highly prestigious 250SX East/West Showdown, giving Pro Circuit its 150th supercross win.

Tomac and Bowers got off to strong starts in 450SX Heat 2 and completed the opening lap in third and fourth place, respectively. Tomac quickly mounted a charge to the front of the field to take the checkered flag first, while Bowers rode well to finish third.

As the gate dropped for the final 450SX Main Event of the season it was Tomac who took the holeshot to lead the 22-rider field out of the first turn, while Bowers sat in eighth. Tomac instantly put in blistering lap times out front and overcame heavy pressure early in the race to distance himself from his competitors. He would charge until the final corner to take the checkered flag with a four second margin of victory. Bowers was riding strong inside of the top-10 until a bobble on Lap 18 forced him to withdraw from the race early. He was credited with 20th position.

"Our starts were on point all day," said Tomac. "I feel good about how we rode throughout the day and finished out here, especially with the challenging track. We ended the season on the podium and healthy so I'm happy with our results and ready to suit up to take on the outdoors!"

“I came out tonight feeling really good after my results in qualifying and the heat race," said Bowers. "I definitely didn't want the night to end this way, but I had fun out on the track today and put it all out there knowing this was my last race of the season. It's a bummer to see it come to a close. I really enjoyed filling in as I continued to progress with the Monster Energy Kawasaki crew and wish it kept going all year. I look forward to what's next and I am so grateful for all of the support from the team."

Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki rider Cianciarulo would start the day qualifying fastest of all East and West region riders. Joey Savatgy and Cianciarulo relied on the power of their KX™250F's to lead the field around the first corner in the 250SX West heat race. The teammates would pass each other several times on the opening lap with Savatgy retaking control for the win and Cianciarulo finishing a close second.

In the 250SX Main Event, Savatgy and Cianciarulo started near the front, circulating the opening lap in third and fifth. On Lap 4, Cianciarulo took full advantage of a mistake by Savatgy in the whoops to make the pass stick for third. He continued his charge to the front and passed both competitors ahead of him to become the race leader on Lap 8. Cianciarulo would go on to take the checkered flag 2.9 seconds ahead of second place and win the finale for the second consecutive year. Savatgy made a late race charge to finish a respectable fourth.

“This win feels so good and I felt great on the track all day," said Cianciarulo. "It's been a struggle all year, especially racing with an injury the entire time but I really put it all out there tonight and rode like I didn't have anything to lose. I'm glad I could end the season on top of the podium with a win for me and my team."

“It's been a good season," said Savatgy. "Obviously we went out there to win tonight so these weren't exactly the results we were hoping for, but I'm happy for my teammate and proud of what me and my team have achieved this season."
