The Monster Energy Supercross series brings together riders from all over the world and it captivates audiences far beyond the boundaries of the United States, where almost every round takes place. Occasionally, but not often, privateer racers from other countries make their way to America to line up inside packed stadiums against the world’s best. At the 2018 Oakland Supercross, Canadian professional Jess Pettis made his Supercross debut by pulling a holeshot in his heat race. Unfortunately, he crashed over the berm and failed to qualify for the main event. However, he traveled south to San Diego and gave things another go, qualifying well during the day. Like many, Pettis had our attention and we wanted to get to know more about the rider from way up North.
