We have learned that Rockstar Energy Racing Husqvarna rider Jason Anderson had a crash on Monday during a practice moto and possibly suffered injuries that will sideline him from the 2019 Monster Energy Supercross Series. The initial word that we heard is a broken arm and lacerated kidney, and we’ve reached out to the Rockstar Energy Racing Husqvarna team for confirmation; they have not confirmed nor denied the rumor.

We will update this post with more information as it becomes available.

UPDATE JANUARY 22ND 11:25 AM | The team has confirmed Anderson crashed on Monday and sustained a broken arm and a broken rib. The timetable for recovery is six to eight weeks, which will keep Anderson from lining up at Oakland, San Diego, and beyond.

Just as we learned this, Jason Weigandt of Racer X Online posted a similar story regarding the defending Monster Energy Supercross 450 class champion.
