With the start of the 2019 race season just weeks away, we’ve learned that the IB Corp Racing team will not be a part of the paddock in the Monster Energy Supercross Series. The privately-owned team was initially formed to support Ecuadorian racer Martin Castelo, but in recent years it became known for their unique reality online video series Racetrack Supercross that included a tryout competition for racers to earn the final spot on the roster and then behind-the-scenes videos at rounds of the 250 West Coast SX region. The team’s social media accounts have been dormant for months and their past riders have not been aboard branded bikes at the public Supercross practices tracks in recent weeks.

IB Corp Racing was financed in part by the IB Corp investment banking group that worked between the United States and South America. In 2018 the team grew to include racers Martin Castelo, Justin Hoeft, Blake Wharton, and Noah McConahy with Jamie Ellis and Ryan Hughes in management positions and support from Yamaha.

We’ve reached out to multiple people affiliated with the team for more information, but have not received replies. We will update this post as more details become available.
