After a long period of uncertainty, Evengy Bobryshev has a plan in place for the 2018 race season. The Russian racer had long been a part of Team Honda HRC in the MXGP series, but towards the final part of the 2017 Monster Energy FIM Motocross World Championship, he was told that he would not receive a contract extension for 2018 (the spot went to Brian Bogers, news that came shortly after HSF Logistics was announced as a new title sponsor for the team). Bobryshev was caught off guard by Honda’s decision and because it came after many teams had filled up or dropped out for 2018, it was unclear where the consistent front-runner could land, either in Europe or possibly the United States.

On Wednesday, the RFX Suzuki UK team announced that they have signed Bobryshev and will contest the 2018 Arenacross tour in Great Britain and Europe, along with with the Maxxis British Championship and Michelin MX Nationals. Per British media outlet MX Vice, this full-time schedule of events will keep Bobryshev from racing the MXGP series full-time.
