CycleTrader/Rock River Yamaha Confirms Three-Rider Roster For 2019 Race Season
Another team has confirmed their lineup for the 2019 race season. Late last week the CycleTrader.com/Rock River Yamaha team stated that Matt Bisceglia will fill the team’s 450 class spot during the 2019 Monster Energy Supercross Series while Brandon Hartranft and Jacob Hayes hold down the two 250 class positions for the full year, including the 2019 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship. This news comes just as riders ramp up their offseason preparation and testing through the critical weeks of November and December.
We noted Hartranft and Hayes involvement in the Monday Kickstart recap from the 2018 Monster Energy Cup. For Hartranft, this means a return to the team after a successful rookie season that included six top-ten Main Event finishes in the 250 East Coast region and the AMA Rookie of the Year honors, but was offset by a shoulder injury that sidelined him for much of the outdoors. For Hayes, this marks a transition to Supercross and the Nationals after years and one title in the now-defunct AMSOIL Arenacross series. This will be the first time that Hayes has taken on both championships with full support from a team.
Bisceglia’s inclusion into the team is the latest development for both the rider and the team’s 450 spot. Bisceglia raced for Josh Hansen’s LVN100/NutUp/Suzuki squad in 2018 until injuries put him on the sidelines and uncertain of future career opportunities. Justin Bogle was said to be all but confirmed for the spot just a few weeks ago until a deal with the recently formed Phoenix Racing team came together. With this, Bisceglia has been tapped to race the 450 division of the 2019 Monster Energy Supercross Series.
The CycleTrader.com/Rock River Yamaha team offers a unique platform in the paddock, as they offer riders the chance to make an impression on the industry with competitive equipment at the cost of offering a very low base salary. The team’s dedication to the sport and its operation was highlighted over the summer in one of Red Bull’s MX Nation videos.
