Team Honda HRC have confirmed that Christian Craig will complete the 2018 Monster Energy Supercross Series in the 450 class, forgoing the remaining rounds of the 250 West Coast SX region. This news is something we expected, as we pointed out in Kickstart from Atlanta that Craig was pre-entered for a number remaining rounds in the 450 class. Craig will be the lone rider on the factory team because both Ken Roczen and Cole Seely are sidelined with injuries. Roczen is slated to return for the start of the 2018 Lucas Oil Pro Championship, while Seely’s recovery will be much longer.

Craig’s first foray into the 450 class this year came over the weekend in Atlanta and he showed speed with a holeshot and early lead in 450 Main Event One. His 6-7-5 Main Event finishes put him fifth overall for the night in the 450 class.

As it stands, Craig is currently ranked sixth in the 250 West Coast SX region championship standings, with a third-place season best at the 2018 Anaheim Two Supercross. With his fifth-place finish at the 2018 Atlanta Supercross, Craig is now ranked twenty-fifth in the 450 championship standings.

Team Honda HRC is happy to announce that @_christiancraig will fill in aboard a factory CRF450R for the remainder of the AMA @SupercrossLIVE season 👍🏻‼️3️⃣2️⃣🏁 pic.twitter.com/1jWwp7VVDL
