Cameron McAdoo has announced that he will sit out the upcoming rounds of the 250 East Coast SX region of the 2018 Monster Energy Supercross Series due to further damage to the fifth metacarpal in his right hand (commonly called a boxer’s fracture). The GEICO Honda initially suffered the injury during the 250 Main Event at the 2018 Arlington Supercross, the first round of the East Coast swing, but was able to race through the pain to finish that race and then lined up a week later at the 2018 Tampa Supercross. Unfortunately for McAdoo, another run-in with a rider during 250 Main Event Three at the 2018 Atlanta Supercross has made the injury even worse and the decision has been made to let it recover before racing again.

After three races, McAdoo is ranked twelfth in the 250 East Coast SX region championship standings.
