During his podium interview at the 2018 Las Vegas Supercross, Adam Cianciarulo announced that he will undergo surgery to repair a torn ACL and will be forced to miss the entire 2018 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship. The injury is from the run-in that Cianciarulo had during timed qualifying at the 2017 Indianapolis Supercross with Zach Osborne, but the Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki rider has managed to race for over a year with the injury.
With this news, the Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki roster has taken another hit. Austin Forkner is still on the mend from a broken collarbone suffered at the 2018 Minneapolis Supercross, but is hopeful to line up at Hangtown in two weeks time. Martin Davalos will also skip the entire Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship due to a torn ACL and broken vertebra he sustained at the 2018 Arlington Supercross. The team has decided to bring Garrett Marchbanks up to the professional circuit as a result and he will make his debut at Hangtown.
