SUPERCROSS

It was another solid night for Bell athletes at the Oakland round of the Monster Energy Supercross. Not only did Cooper Webb and Adam Cianciarulo win their respective divisions, but it was a Moto-9 Flex podium sweep of the 250SXW class.

Oakland, CA – January 26, 2019: Cooper Webb showed potential all night starting with an early lead in his Heat race before stalling his bike and losing a couple spots to finish 3rd. However, in the Main, it was all Webb as he grabbed the holeshot and never looked back, leading every lap to the top step of the podium for his 2nd 450SX win on the season. Webb is now leading the points series and will carry the Red Plate into the next round in San Diego.

Eli Tomac won his Heat race in the 450SX class and during the Main he traded spots between 3rd and 5th and eventually finished 4th. Tomac is now 3rd in the points standing – only 3 points out of first.

Tyler Bowers showed flashes of his 450SX potential by posting a solid start in his Heat race and battling with the top pros, settling into a 6th place finish. In the Main, Bowers took 12th overall.

Adam “On The Gas” Cianciarulo was just that… on the gas all night, especially in the Main where he took the lead early and held off a fast group of 250SXW racers to take the win. Cianciarulo is running 2nd in the point standings only 3 points out from the leader…

…Colt Nichols, who grabbed the 3rd spot on the podium which was enough for him to hang onto the points lead and take the Red Plate into the San Diego round.

Another great come-through-the-pack ride for Dylan Ferrandis who finished 2nd behind Cianciarulo.

NATIONAL HARE & HOUND

Lucerne, CA – January 26, 2019: Dalton Shirey piloted his Zip-Ty Racing Husqvarna to 6th overall in the first round of the National Hare & Hound Championship series.

Some of the greatest photos are not always pretty – evidenced by Chance Fullerton’s “save” through the hoops. Fullerton moved up to the Open Pro class this year after winning the 250 Pro title last year.

Brandy Richards took over right where she left off last year, putting her new #1L number plate on top of the podium. Not only did she win the Women’s Pro division, but she also finished 29th overall in a field that boasted over 250 entries – one third of those posted a DNF. Great job Brandy!

We love to see these Moto-9 Flex podium sweeps and that’s what happened again in the Women’s Pro division. Richards took first, Morgan Tanke took 2nd and Sharon Mowell rounded out the podium in third. (Nice job of always taking your Bell Helmets up to the podium, ladies). Honorable mention goes to Bell Helmets’ Rachel Stout who finished 4th.

Shout out to Kari Erickson who won the Women’s A division and a new Bell Moto-9 Flex helmet. Bell is a series sponsor of the Hare & Hound Championship and provides a free helmet to a different winner of a different class at each round.

FIM WORLD SUPER ENDURO

Madrid, Spain – January 26, 2019: Round Three of the Maxxis Super Enduro World Championship took place this weekend in Spain where Cody Webb is competing to retain his World Title. It was a strange night for Webb as he threw a chain in his 3rd moto, repaired it and finished but not with enough laps to qualify for a finish – so he recorded a DNF in his 3rd moto. But some how his 3-1-DNF finishes were enough for him to take 2nd overall on the night. It must have been a rough race for everyone!
You can read Cody’s story HERE.
