Over the last few months, we’ve released a brief list of riders with known contracts and riders without deals for the 2018 Supercross and motocross race seasons. A lot has changed in the time since, as multiple announcements regarding new contracts have been issued and we have a much better understanding of how the pit area will look at the opening round of the 2018 Monster Energy Supercross Series. Below is an updated list of confirmed deals as we close out the final weeks of the offseason.

Riders With Active & Announced Contracts

Cooper Webb | Holds one more year in contract with Monster Energy/Yamalube/Chaparral/Yamaha Financial Services/Yamaha.

Eli Tomac | Recently extended a contract with Monster Energy Kawasaki for multiple seasons.

Blake Baggett | Holds one more year in contract with Rocky Mountain ATV-MC/WPS/KTM.

Jeremy Martin | Recently extended a contract with GEICO Honda that runs through 2019 in the 250 class.

Justin Brayton | Recently extended his contract with MotoConcepts Honda for the 2018 Supercross season.

Kyle Chisholm | Held 250 SX contract MotoConcepts Honda in 2017 but was not part of recent team announcement. Chisholm recently signed to race the 250 West Coast SX series with 51FIFTY Energy Yamaha.

Jake Weimer | Recently inked a contract with MotoConcepts Honda for the 2018 Supercross season.

Cole Seely | Holds one more year in contract with Team Honda HRC.

Dean Wilson | Recently inked a contract extension with Rockstar Energy Racing Husqvarna through the full 2018 season.

Zach Osborne | Will remain with Rockstar Energy Racing Husqvarna for the full 2018 season, but with one caveat: he will race the 250 class during Supercross and jump to the 450 class for the Nationals.

Joey Savatgy | Will remain with Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki through the 2018 season in the 250 class.

Davi Millsaps | Signed a one-year contract with Monster Energy/Yamalube/Chaparral/Yamaha Financial Services/Yamaha and stated it was likely his last year as a professional racer. A recent practice crash and resulting injuries (serious concussion and elbow) have raised concerns if Millsaps will line up at all in 2018.

Justin Bogle | Has signed with AutoTrader/Yoshimura/Suzuki Factory Racing (JGRMX) for 2018 and raced the Monster Energy Cup with the team.

Broc Tickle | Has signed with Red Bull KTM for 2018.

Jason Anderson | Will remain with Rockstar Energy Racing Husqvarna for the full 2018 season.

Aaron Plessinger | Holds one more year in contract with Yamalube/Star Racing/Yamaha in the 250 class.

Austin Forkner | Will remain with Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki through the 2018 season in the 250 class. Expected to race 250 East Coast SX series after recently suffering a broken collarbone and wrist.

Marvin Musquin | Inked a contract extension with Red Bull KTM through the 2019 race season.

Alex Martin | Will remain with Troy Lee Designs/GoPro/Red Bull/KTM through the 2018 race season in the 250 class.

Justin Hill | Announced a two-year contract with AutoTrader/Yoshimura/Suzuki Factory Racing starting in 2018. Will race the 250 class in 2018 and jump to the 450 class in 2019.

RJ Hampshire | Will remain with GEICO Honda through the 2018 season in the 250 class.

Weston Peick | AutoTrader/Yoshimura/Suzuki Factory Racing (JGRMX) and rider have negotiated an extension for 2018.

Josh Grant | Has signed a contract extension with Monster Energy Kawasaki for 2018.

Benny Bloss | Will remain with Rocky Mountain ATV-MC/WPS/KTM in 2018, but in the 450 class full-time.

Adam Cianciarulo | Recently announced a two-year contract extension with Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki that will keep him in the 250 class.

Shane McElrath | Will remain with Troy Lee Designs/GoPro/Red Bull/KTM through the 2018 race season in the 250 class.

Colt Nichols | Will remain with Yamalube/Star Racing/Yamaha through the 2018 race season in the 250 class.

Jordon Smith | Will remain with Troy Lee Designs/GoPro/Red Bull/KTM through the 2018 race season in the 250 class.

Christian Craig | Will remain with GEICO Honda through the 2018 race season in the 250 class.

Luke Renzland | Will remain with Traders Racing through the 2018 race season in the 250 class.

Justin Hoeft | Will return to the IB Corp Racing team for the 250 West Coast Supercross series.

Martin Castelo | Will return to the IB Corp Racing team for the 250 West Coast Supercross series.

Cole Martinez | Will race for the independent AJE Motorsports team for the 250 West Coast Supercross series, along with select East Coast events on a 450.

Kyle Cunningham | Contract with AutoTrader/Monster Energy/Toyota/JGRMX/Suzuki has expired, unclear if the team will bring him back as part of the growing 250 program. UPDATE: Cunningham is one of four riders on the newly formed H.E.P. Motorsports Suzuki team.

Jimmy Decotis | Will remain with GEICO Honda through the 2018 race season in the 250 class. UPDATE: Decotis has signed a contract with AutoTrader/Yoshimura/Suzuki Factory Racing to race Supercross in the 250 class with the possibility of racing the Nationals.

Vince Friese | Recently extended the contract with MotoConcepts/Honda for the 2018 Supercross season and will compete in the 450 class.

Mitchell Oldenburg | Parting ways with Troy Lee Designs/GoPro/Red Bull/KTM, will remain in 250 class but deal with a new team, Rockstar Energy Racing Husqvarna, is not announced as of yet. UPDATE: In an unexpected turn of events, Oldenburg has inked a two-year 250 class contract with Yamalube/Star Racing/Yamaha.

Phil Nicoletti | At the end of the current contract with AutoTrader/Monster Energy/Toyota/JGRMX/Suzuki. Team and rider have negotiated an extension but has not been announced as of yet. UPDATE: Nicoletti will remain with AutoTrader/Yoshimura/Suzuki Factory Racing but with a 250 Supercross-only deal in 2018, likely on the West Coast.

Martin Davalos | Recently announced a contract with Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki to remain in the 250 class in 2018.

Michael Leib | Recently earned a spot with on the IB Corp Racing team for the 250 West Coast Supercross series.

Chase Marquier | Recently announced a contract with the JMC Motorsports team for the 250 West Coast Supercross series.

Dakota Alix | At the end of the current contract with Rocky Mountain ATV-MC/WPS/KTM. The team will field a 250 class rider in 2018 as part of their three-rider roster, and although Alix has been at events in team garb, it's not been confirmed that he has the spot. UPDATE: We’ve confirmed Alix will remain with Rocky Mountain ATV-MC/WPS/KTM.

Justin Barcia | Parted ways AutoTrader/Monster Energy/Toyota/JGRMX/Suzuki and raced Monster Energy Cup on a privateer Honda. There is talk that he could join Yamaha in place of the injured Millsaps, but nothing has been confirmed or announced. UPDATE: Barcia has signed a six-race fill-in contract with Monster Energy/Knich/Yamaha Factory Racing while Millsaps recovers from injury.

Ken Roczen | Holds a multi-year contract with Team Honda HRC.

Anthony Rodriguez | Signed with Rocky Mountain ATV-MC/WPS/KTM team for the full 2018 season in the 250 class.

Dylan Ferrandis | Will remain with Yamalube/Star Racing/Yamaha through the 2018 race season in the 250 class.

Mitchell Harrison | Has signed a one-year contract with Rockstar Energy Racing Husqvarna to race through the 2018 season in the 250 class.

Bradley Taft | Will return to CycleTrader/Rock River Yamaha for the 2018 race season in the 250 class, expected to race 250 West Coast Supercross series.

Sean Cantrell | Will remain with Troy Lee Designs/GoPro/Red Bull/KTM through the 2018 race season in the 250 class.

Michael Mosiman | Will remain with Rockstar Energy Racing Husqvarna through the 2018 race season in the 250 class.

Justin Cooper | Will race with Yamalube/Star Racing/Yamaha through the 2018 race season in the 250 class.

Henry Miller | One of four riders on the newly formed H.E.P. Motorsports team.

Chris Howell | Will return to JMC Motorsports for the 250 West Coast Supercross series.

Alex Ray | Will return to CycleTrader/Rock River Yamaha for the 2018 race season in the 450 class.

Hayden Mellross | Will return to the 51FIFTY Energy Yamaha team for the 250 West Coast Supercross series in 2018.

Chase Sexton | Will remain with GEICO Honda through the 2018 race season in the 250 class.

Heath Harrison | Recently parted ways with CycleTrader.com/Rock River Yamaha. UPDATE: Harrison will race the 250 East Coast SX series with TiLube/Storm Lake Honda.

Brandon Hartranft | Will make professional Supercross debut with CycleTrader/Rock River Yamaha in the 250 East Coast Supercross series.

Josh Hansen | Will race the full Supercross series in the 450 class with support from Suzuki on his own team.

Riders With No Contract Or An Unannounced Contract

James Stewart | Did not race either championship in 2017 and has no announced plans for 2018.

Chad Reed | Has parted ways with Monster Energy/Yamalube/Chaparral/Yamaha Financial Services/Yamaha and rider has no deal with new team announced as of yet. UPDATE: Reed suffered a broken ankle during practice for the 2017 Red Bull Straight Rhythm and less than a month ahead of Anaheim One was cleared to resume riding. Currently, Reed has no direct team or factory support but has stated he will race aboard Husqvarna equipment as an independent entry.

Fredrik Noren | Unconfirmed if he will remain with TiLube/Storm Lake Honda or join another team. UPDATE: It seems like Noren will be a full privateer in 2018.

Matt Bisceglia | Contract with AutoTrader/Monster Energy/Toyota/JGRMX/Suzuki has expired, unclear if the team will bring him back as part of the growing 250 program. UPDATE: Bisceglia will not return to the JGRMX team in 2018 and the rider has spent recent weeks racing small Supercross events in Europe.

Malcolm Stewart | Contested the 450 Supercross series with the support of an independent team but did not race the 450 National series. No news if he will return to the team in 2018, but has posted videos of practice laps on a Kawasaki at his private Supercross track.

Tyler Bowers | Held a Supercross-only contract with 51FIFTY Energy Yamaha in 2017. Currently racing select events on a privateer Kawasaki.

Chris Alldredge | Held a Supercross-only contract with Barn Pros Racing/Home Depot/Yamaha in 2017. Not linked to any team as of September 18th.

Mike Alessi | Held 450 SX contract MotoConcepts Honda, was not part of recent team announcement.
