Monster Energy Yamaha Factory Racing rider Cooper Webb has confirmed that he fractured his tibia in a crash during 450 Main Event One at the 2018 Minneapolis Supercross. Webb and a number of other riders came together as they went through the first lane of obstacles on the opening lap and Webb faired the worst of all, as his lower leg was landed on by another rider. Webb was able to get off of the track with the assistance of the Alpinestars Mobile Medical staff and was taken out of the stadium on the medical cart.
In a post on Instagram Sunday morning, Webb stated that early scans showed the fracture to his tibia but he will visit an orthopedist on Monday morning to see the full extent of the damage.
Webb is currently ranked eighth in the 450 class championship with three rounds remaining in the series. His best finish, a third place, came at the 2018 Daytona Supercross.
