Austin Forkner Injuries Collarbone At 2018 Minneapolis Supercross
Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki have announced that Austin Forkner sustained a collarbone injury in his crash during 250 Main Event Three at the 2018 Minneapolis Supercross. Although the full extent of the damage is uncertain, Forkner shared an image on his Instagram story of his arm in a sling and the team shared a brief update on Twitter stating that he will undergo a full examination on Monday.
Forkner’s night in Minnesota did not go to plan, as he crashed three separate times in 250 Main Event Two (crash one: jumped into a set of Tuff Blocks on the opening lap, crash two: touched wheels with Lorenzo Locurcio exiting a turn, crash three: touched wheels with Zack Williams exiting the same turn a few laps later, crash four: tucked the front-end of the bike in the turn before the finish line) and then suffered the most vicious crash in 250 Main Event Three when he endoed through the whoops and landed directly on his shoulder.
With 137 total points, Forkner is now ranked fourth in the 250 East Coast Championship standings.
