There has been plenty of speculation on Eli Tomac’s status for the 2018 Houston Supercross in the wake of his crash at the opening round and after the first timed qualifying session in Texas, there is even more to discuss. The Monster Energy Kawasaki rider failed to long a quick lap (he was ten seconds off of the pace of top qualifier Jason Anderson) and withdrew from the session after an extended period of time in the mechanic’s area.
Per the Monster Energy Kawasaki team, Tomac suffered a contusion to his shoulder in his crash at the 2018 Anaheim One Supercross 450 Main Event. He reportedly put in a practice session with the team during the week.
We will update this post as we learn more.
