The promoters for 2017 Paris SX, one of the largest and longest-running off-season European events, have announced that Jeremy Martin has been added to the entry list. This comes as a result of a finger injury that Christian Craig, a rider in the original lineup, sustained at the 2017 Monster Energy Cup. The substitution for one GEICO Honda rider with another is simple, as Martin will race a Honda CRF450R with key parts needed to set the bike up to his liking.
Martin has experience racing in Europe, thanks to two stints on Team USA at the Motocross of Nations (Latvia and France), but has not lined up for a Supercross event overseas prior to this.
Martin recently announced a contract extension with GEICO Honda, which will keep him in the 250 class for one full shot at a 250 championship but with the option to race select events on a 450 when possible.
The 2017 Paris SX features a roster of United States-based racers, including Cole Seely, Dean Wilson, Zach Osborne, Dylan Ferrandis, and Marvin Musquin.
