Mitchell Harrison Headed To Europe With Bud Racing Kawasaki - MXGP
Mitchell Harrison has parted ways with the Rockwell Yamaha team and will move to the FIM Motocross World Championship in Europe to race MX2 with Bud Racing Kawasaki, the team announced on Instagram today. He will make his debut this weekend at the MXGP of Trentino in Italy.
Bud Racing previously signed Lorenzo Lucurcio as a fill-in, but Lucurcio was unable to get an extension for his passport and announced today he will return to Monster Energy AMA Supercross this weekend in Nashville.
“See you all at Nashville. With the current situation of my country it has been impossible to get an extension for my passport,” the native of Venezuela wrote on Instagram. “My family and I have tried everything in our power with help from others and still haven’t gotten it. I’ve made a decision to stay in America and finish what I’ve started. Sometimes you make some decisions and they work great and sometimes you make others and they don’t work out. I’m very bummed but at the same time I’m more motivated than ever to finish this supercross season in a very high note thank you @kissimmeemotorsports for the continued support!”
Harrison began his career with Star Racing Yamaha and spent two years with the team before signing with Rockstar Energy Husqvarna for 2018. This off-season he signed with Rockwell Yamaha for the 250SX West Region and had two top ten finishes through eight rounds. He did not race this past weekend in Houston.
