Maybe The Greatest Team Press Release We've Ever Received - Racer X Exhaust

Team press releases, on the surface, have good intentions. They are meant to provide the media, sponsors, etc. an update on the team following a race. It can include injury news, results, quotes from the riders and team managers, etc. Depending on the team, they range from amazing, to well…

The other day, on April Fool’s day no less, we received arguably one of the greatest, straight forward, press releases in history.

Tommy Searle did not have a great weekend at Valkenswaard, round three of the FIM Motocross World Championship. The Brit struggled all weekend, eventually going 24-18 for 21st overall.

One would expect the team to put a positive spin on the weekend. Nope! The BOS Suspension Kawasaki team instead were very up front about the problems in the Netherlands, and it even included some juicy stuff like: “Tommy was not smooth enough, the bike settings were not good enough so the mix was not efficient to beat the best sand racers this weekend.”

Bravo to the BOS team for sending out one of the better PRs we’ve ever read. The full release is below:

"A weekend to forget! Looking forward to better result’s next weekend in Italy.”

The words of Tommy Searle were short but true.
