Autotrader/Yoshimura Suzuki’s Justin Bogle announced on Instagram that he will need to undergo surgery following the season to fix ulnar nerve issues he’s been dealing with. According to the post, the issue has been causing arm and hand numbness.

“Went to the doctor yesterday and found out that the issue I’ve been having with my arm and hand numbness is caused by my ulnar nerve being trapped in scar tissue,” he wrote. “This is why my hand hasn’t been working well after a few laps making it hard to hold on and keep my pace. I will be getting it fixed asap after the season, but for now I’m gonna give it all I’ve got for as long as I’ve got and do my best. Thank you to my sponsors and everyone who’s been riding with me through this roller coaster of a year for the support, it hasn’t gone how we’d planned but struggle what made us.”

Bogle will delay surgery until after the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross season.

After missing much of the 2018 Monster Energy Supercross season due to a broken humerus sustained at San Diego, Bogle returned to racing at the Southwick National. Bogle has been great off the start, securing six holeshots in eight motos, but has struggled to stay near the front, some of which is likely due to the injury he’s currently dealing with.
