It didn’t matter if it rained in Phoenix or not because the State Farm Stadium where the 2019 Glendale Supercross was held has a roof. However, a little rain in the stadium might have helped the hard-packed slippery corners as the track dried out. Ken Roczen looked good all night, but after a staggered restart, for Malcolm Stewart’s crash, Jason Anderson ran Ken down and took out his front wheel in a banked 180. Blake Baggett inherited second place as Roczen hit the dirt. When the 450 main event was over Blake Baggett pulled off something that he hasn’t shown since his 250 days—a fast closing, late lap, flat-out charge to the front. For Blake, it was his first-ever 450 win. For the 2019 Supercross series it was the second different winner in two races.
