US Trophy Teams Impress At ISDE In Chile

After six days of intense racing, Australia claimed the coveted World Trophy Team award at this year’s International Six Day Enduro in Viña del Mar, Chile, while the American squad of Taylor Robert, Ryan Sipes, Steward Baylor, and Zach Bell finish an impressive second place, ahead of the Italian team.

Taylor Robert and Steward Baylor turned spectacular individual performances throughout the week and finished off the event ranked first and second in the E2 division, ahead of third-place finisher Thomas Oldrati from Italy.

The American effort made history in the Trophy team divisions, by being the first country to put a Trophy team on all three of the elite podiums: World Trophy, Junior Trophy, and Women’s Trophy, finishing second in each of the three categories.

In the Junior Trophy division, Grant Baylor, Ben Kelley, and Josh Toth started off the week in third behind Italy and France, but surpassed France on day 2. Meanwhile, the US Women’s team (Tarah Gieger, Brandy Richards, and Becca Sheets) were second behind the Aussie team in the final results, but nearly 12 minutes ahead of the Spanish team in third.
