Shot Race Gear Introduces 2019 Collection
For more than 20 years Shot Race Gear has crafted some of the purest race gear on the market. And for 2019, with the help of top athletes such as 51Fifty Energy Drink/Yamaha’s Kyle Chisholm, Traders Racing Yamaha’s Luke Renzland, and Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing’s Graham Jarvis, Shot has refined its products further.
Dirt Rider was invited to the release of the 2019 Shot Race Gear lineup at Milestone MX Park in Riverside, California, for an exclusive look at what they have in store for 2019. We had the privilege of throwing on a new set of 2019 gear and rode a perfectly prepped main track with a few other media outlets.
The refined Aerolite Prorider is the premier gear line offered by Shot Race Gear. With its light weight and flexible design, it offers a performance fit for maximum comfort on the bike. It’s constructed with armored stretch fabric, vented stretch panels, as well as heat- and abrasion-restraint leather panels. Shot Race Gear also offers its premier Aerolite Prorider gear in a replica Husqvarna kit, plus a limited-edition, for US sale only Aerolite Optica Air vented gear.
Shot Race Gear’s Contact Score line is manufactured with a pre-curved fit and a vented inner liner.
The Devo Ultimate line is a classic fit gear set that offers an ultralight 500-gram pant with a vented inner liner with Spandex knees and crotch for comfort and durability.
For 2019, Shot Race Gear offers two helmet lines which share the same shell and core features at retail for $109.99. The Furious Ultimate is offered in five colorways, while the Furious Score is offered in two colorways. Both helmets are featured with an ECE 2205- and DOT-certified synthetic reinforced shell, chin bar shock absorber insert, washable “Morpho Conforming” liner, as well as six forehead vents, four exhaust vents, and a 2D buckle.
The Iris goggles are the premier eye protection offered by Shot Race Gear and retail for $39.99. Offered in four colorways, the Iris goggles come with an iridium anti-scratch and antifog lens and a semi-rigid frame.
Shot Race Gear offers the entry-level Assault goggles in variety of colors for $24.99 and $34.99 with a roll offs cartridge. The Assault goggles share similar qualities as the Iris goggles with a semi-rigid frame, front ventilation system, and the ability to run tear offs.
The lightweight, injection-molded plastic X11 boots are designed with premium synthetic leather, four adjustable buckles, and a textured internal side to grip the frame of the bike.
