Daytona Supercross 250 Class Photo Finish

Troy Lee Designs/Red Bull/KTM’s Jordon Smith took the victory in the 250SX class main event at round 10 of the AMA Supercross series at Daytona International Speedway in Daytona, Florida. The KTM rider grabbed the holeshot and led the entire 14-lap race to take his first win of the season.

“The track was extremely tough tonight—mentally and physically,” Smith said. “But it’s a great feeling to be back on top. I didn’t have the start I wanted to the season, but we’re getting it going now.”

GEICO Honda’s Jeremy Martin came around the first corner in second place and remained there for the entire race to grab the second spot on the podium.

“[I] love this race and all the fans,” Martin said. “Thanks to my team. We’re not done in this thing [and we’re] on to St. Louis.”

Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki’s Austin Forkner rounded out the podium to grab his third podium finish of the season and is now tied with Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing’s Zach Osborne for the point lead.

“Tonight's track was crazy rough,” Forkner said. “I tried to put in a charge to catch the leaders but every time I would make up ground, I’d make a mistake. So I decided to race smart and settle for third.”
