2019 Germany SuperEnduro World Championship Race Report

Cody Webb moved to the top of the series standings in the FIM SuperEnduro World Championship with a solid victory at round 2 of the series in Riesa, Germany. The FMF KTM Factory Racing rider claimed two wins and a third in the three-race format to secure the victory ahead of Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s Taddy Blazusiak in second and Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing’s Colton Haaker in third.

After finishing second at the series opener in Poland, Webb was determined to get back on top of the podium and he had little trouble riding to victory in the opening two races of the night. In the third race, a couple of mistakes early on left the Californian playing catch-up, though he was able to finish an eventual third, which as more than enough to take the overall victory and become the new point leader.

“It feels awesome to come away with the victory here in Germany, as well as the point lead in the championship,” Webb said. “I think this is my third win here in Riesa, so I seem to have a good feeling with this place.”

The 2019 FIM SuperEnduro World Championship continues with round 3 in Madrid on January 26.
